What is AI Anyways?
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the ability of a machine or computer to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, decision-making, and language understanding. There are several different types of AI, including narrow AI, weak AI, supervised learning, or a language model, to name a few.
A language model is a type of artificial intelligence that is trained to predict the likelihood of a sequence of words. It does this by analyzing a large dataset of text and learning the patterns and structures that are characteristic of the language. Language models are used for a variety of tasks, including language translation, text generation, and natural language processing.
Some well-known language models include Google's BERT and OpenAI's GPT. Language models are just one type of AI. Other types of AI include image recognition systems, self-driving cars, and predictive analytics algorithms. Thanks to huge data sets, we are now able to "talk" to AIs such as ChatGPT or MidJourney. These services have also shown us that in the near future, some skills, occupations, and/or other services might not be needed at all.
